Vision:

These Academies will collaboratively work with courts, judges and officers, and other juvenile justice agencies: as well as other relevant local community agencies, youth and their families in order to create a sense of team-building with the purpose of forming positive relationships.

Mission:

The primary mission is to educate, enhance and cultivate youth and ensure successful transition to the next grade level, other educational settings and the workplace.

Goals:

Our primary goal is to implement a curriculum that provides creative strategies that involves all students regardless of previous academic success. We realize that at-risk youth who have been labeled as failures are capable of success-both academically and in the community. Creative Path will challenge these youth to develop their talents by recognizing their various learning personalities. When lacking various components of the learning personality, at-risk youth tends to turn to violence and gang activity. Everyone could find a productive lifestyle if they could find a learning process with opportunities that matches their learning personality. (Motivation Tool Chest, 2009)

Our Philosophy:

Creative Path is founded on the belief that all children can learn provided they have a supportive, challenging, disciplined and nurturing environment that challenges all learning styles. Children have an abundance of curiosity and as educators we need to take advantage of their natural motivation by providing an innovative and creative curriculum. The staff at the academy will receive professional development on how to use differential instruction to reach children with different learning styles.

Curriculum Focus:

The focus of our entire curriculum is to provide creative strategies to involve all students regardless of academic ability. Exposing students to a variety of classes will provide them with a natural link to cross-curricular connections.
