Jannora Lauderdale is the founder of Creative Path and Innovative Pathways, a non-profit organization.  Jannora has written and received two planning grants from the Michigan Department of Education to develop new charter schools in Flint and Detroit, Michigan, as well as  a pre-planning grant to develop a charter school in Illinois.  Jannora has a passion for educating youth and a belief that all youth can learn with the correct learning environment and understanding of learning personalities. Jannora earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Roosevelt University and later a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction/Administrative option from Ferris State University. She began working with at-risk youth in 1987  as a high school math teacher at an alternative school on the west side of Chicago.   In addition to achieving academic success in the classroom, she was able to expose  at-risk youth to various opportunities outside of their neighborhood by involving them in programs such as the Stock Market, Math League, Lego League and cheerleading competitions.  Jannora's experience includes various educational environments such as private, public, charter, and juvenile facilities where she has held positions such as:  Math Teacher, Math/Science Department Head, Academic Quality Controller, Assistant Director of School Operations, Site leader and Assessment Leader, and online instructor. Jannora  was instrumental in raising student MEAP math scores where students met and/or exceeded state standards. She has implemented various youth projects such as Adopt-A-Student Mentoring program, interactive project-based summer program, Youth Empowerment Expo, Self-Esteem Matters, Virtual High School, A Day Off/Back to the Basics, and a statewide Pen-Pal program.  She has been active with the following organizations: Grant reviewer, Member of Association Supervision Curriculum Development (ASCD), Member of National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM),Member of  National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), active member as the 3rd Vice-President and State Youth Director of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority (ZPB), and Secretary of Flint Pan-Hellenic Council.
Frederick (Fred) A. Williamson is a member of the Innovative Pathways Planning Team working to develop new charter schools in Flint and Detroit Michigan.   Fred  has served the education arena for over 20 years.   Fred's experience extends beyond the traditional classroom walls to include  nephrology social work, supporting and maximizing the psychosocial functioning and adjustment of patients who are experiencing end-stage renal disease and their families.  He has undertaken initiatives to educate African-Americans and other minorities in the prevention of diabetes, hypertension and kidney disease. In 1995, in collaboration with the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, several doctors and community leaders, he developed and implemented a first of its kind education program in Wayne County and the City of Detroit. 
After completing his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership at Wayne State University,  Fred began working as the Assistant Principal with the Alternative Education Program at Ferndale Public School.  He has worked to help students from various backgrounds facing a myriad of challenges achieve academic success.  He has empowered this "at-risk" population  to make positive decisions towards completing high school requirements for graduation or to pass the GED.   From August 1999 through February 2005, Mr. Williamson helped to start up a local charter school serving the community and "at-risk" urban youth.  During his tenure he held several positions, including Teacher, Lead Teacher, School Coordinator, and Director of School Operations.   In 2005, Fred was recruited by Edtec Central, LLC, as a consultant to coordinate, implement, and collaborate with two all-male residential treatment facilities to provide summer educational services.  Fred  has been recognized by the National Charter Schools Institute for Leading Team Excellence, Leadership Styles, and Effective Instructional Leadership.  Most recently, he was recognized by the Ferndale Public Schools as "2008 Employee of the Year."    He is a member of several organizations including Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., American Diabetes Association (ADA), Minor Organ Tissue and Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP), the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO), and the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP).

Ingrid Clover is a member of the Innovative Pathways Planning Team working to develop new charter schools in Flint and Detroit Michigan.   Ingrid's experience as an educator, administrator, and attorney makes her uniquely suited for the Innovative Pathway team.  She received both her her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from Wayne State University.  Ingrid has served as a Language Arts Teacher, Department Head, and as Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Grant Administrator as Renaissance Alternative School, an alternative school for at-risk youth.  She has extensive experience working with at-risk youth in a variety of settings, including an alternative school, adult education high school, and a GED program. As WIA Administrator, her responsibilities have included selecting grant participants, evaluating performance, maintaining records, preparing budgets, collecting and reviewing data, preparing and submitting reports, developing and administering academic support services and service strategies for achieving employment goals, as well as preparation and support for post secondary education.  As an instructor and department head, her responsibilities have included development and implementation of Language Arts curriculum, in addition to teaching Language Arts in an alternative school setting.  Her experience as an attorney has prepared her for the challenge of interpreting and applying laws, policies, and procedures as well as providing leadership and implementing courses which provide students with an appreciation of the underlying logic of our legal system and its application to clear, logical writing. She has successfully applied high academic standards to students whom other schools have labeled as failures.  Innovations she has introduced have included a summer work study program where students gained work experience and mentoring in fields in which they are pursuing careers,  a competitive mock trial team as well as courses in Practical Law, Technical Writing, Shakespeare, and E-Portfolios. She has obtained scholarships and admission to the National Mock Trial Academy in Chicago for members of her competitive mock trial team.  
Sylvia Williamson  is a member of the Innovative Pathways Planning Team working to develop new charter schools in Flint and Detroit Michigan.   Sylvia's considerable experience in the education of at-risk youth includes work as a Math Teacher, Lead Teacher and Dean of Students.    She has substantial  knowledge of curriculum and has written and implemented several math education programs. She has also been a MEAP coach and taught GED classes. Recently she assisted in the opening and organizing of an educational program to serve the adjudicated youth   In her work as Dean of Students, Sylvia has been responsible for discipline for the school's k-8 population. Sylvia's additional roles and responsibilities in her work with at-risk youth include Leader of Character Education Program, Secretary of School Improvement Team, and After-School Tutor.  Sylvia earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master in education for Wayne State University.  Sylvia is a member of several organizations including the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Detroit Area Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Michigan Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and Michigan Council of the Social Studies.
Crystal Conover is the President of the Board of Directors of Innovative Pathways.  Crystal has extensive experience in business leadership, strategic planning, and information technology.  Crystal is experienced in driving growth and constructing change in various business sectors and industries.  Crystal's strategic leadership skills are recognized for a facilitative and consultative approach in supporting business initiatives and influencing organizational issues. Crystal's expertise in new system implementation, business management and creating solutions that deliver excellence while managing cost, quality, and time.  In her work as Project Manager, her responsibilities have included Organizational Breakdown Structure, Information Technology, and Electronic Data Management.  Crystal has taken the lead in strategic planning, project management, new system implementation, quality control, project coordination, and employee recruitment.    In her work in Information Technology, Crystal's experience includes network administration and application/systems design and development.   Crystal has earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Organizational Administration and a Masters of Science in Administrative Leadership from Central Michigan University.   Despite her many demanding career responsibilities and business commitments, Crystal has consistently demonstrated a dedication to work with at-risk youth.    Her community involvement contributions include Big Sister/Mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Career Day Spokesperson for the City of Southfield, Michigan, Speaker/Facilitator at Vista Maria and Salvation Army. 


My name is Alvin Franklin Jr. born in Flint, MI and raised in Saginaw, MI. I attended Arthur Hill High School where I became a member of the National Honor Society. I received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2009 as well as served as a Presidential Ambassador for the University from 2006-2009. I am now attending Wayne State University working on my Masters Degree in Transportation Engineering. I have worked at General Motors, Michigan Department of Transportation, and University of Detroit Mercy. I am currently working at Southeast Michigan Council of Governments as a Planning Assistant and Wayne State University as a Student Assistant for the Transportation Research Group. I am an active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, National Society of Black Engineers, and Institute of Transportation Engineers. When I am not traveling or relaxing, I am volunteering in the community. In 2008, I was awarded a Resolution from Wayne County of Michigan for leadership and service.
